Coach WIll at Activate

Will O' Flaherty

Senior Coach

Originally from Skibbereen in West Cork, now living up the Gap where he and his fiancée Celine are building their first home, William has been part of the Activate team since the summer of 2025 and is one of our Senior Coaches. His journey into coaching began back in his teenage years through rugby and strength training, and later in 2017 when he found CrossFit.

Since then, he’s been hooked by the challenge of training and the fascination of helping people move better.William holds a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Therapy and has spent five years working in private practice and with sports teams, building a strong background in movement, rehab, and performance. He is a qualified CrossFit coach, with a special love for Olympic Weightlifting, and he brings both clinical knowledge and coaching passion to every class.

Though still new to Activate, he’s already making his mark by running our “Move for Movember” challenge, encouraging members to complete 100 reps a day throughout November (and grow a mustache if they can). For Will, the best part of the job is seeing the joy on people’s faces during training (unless it’s Fran!) and when they leave knowing they’ve achieved something.

Outside of the gym, you’ll find him swimming, hiking up the mountains, snowboarding when he gets the chance, or hunting down the next great coffee. He’s also a musician, and still finds time to pick up a guitar when he wants to switch gears.
Will’s mission as a coach is simple: to help people see what they’re capable of and push them to achieve more than they thought possible, while always making sure the process is fun.

Coach Roisin at Activate

Roisin Griffin

Coach

Introducing Roisín, a vibrant and passionate coach at Activate, originally from the scenic village of Glenbeigh in County Kerry. Growing up in a sporty household with two older brothers, Roisín was always outdoors and on the move – a love of activity that has shaped her path in fitness and coaching today.

Roisín’s personal mission is simple but powerful: begin each day with gratitude, and end it having made someone else’s day brighter. This shines through in every session she coaches, creating an uplifting environment where progress and positivity go hand in hand.

Since joining Activate, Roisín has brought her energy and expertise to our youth programmes, helping to build physical literacy and healthy habits in the next generation. With a BSc in Sports and Exercise Sciences, she also carried out academic research on the movement profiles of youth athletes – experience she now puts into action in her role leading our kids and youth training. Prior to Activate, Roisín spent six months in Melbourne working across multiple sporting codes, from grassroots to professional levels, earning Intern of the Year for her work.

Though still early in her journey with us (almost three months in), Roisín has already made a big impact. She thrives in Activate’s close-knit, supportive community and is constantly looking for ways to learn and grow alongside the team.

Her coaching style is encouraging and holistic, helping clients – from growing kids to busy adults – build movement skills, strength, and positive habits that support long-term health and happiness. She is especially passionate about early intervention and believes getting kids active from a young age lays the foundation for a lifetime of physical confidence and wellbeing.

In addition to her degree, Roisín holds a Level 1 Sports Trainer qualification from her time in Australia and brings practical experience across both athletic and general population settings.

Outside the gym, Roisín enjoys playing football and basketball, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with friends. She’s always up for trying something new – especially if it gets her moving.

Whether you’re taking your first step into fitness or looking to help your child build confidence through movement, Roisín’s blend of energy, knowledge, and compassion makes her an incredible coach to have in your corner.
