The Weather is Cooling Down, But the Training is Heating Up at Activate Youth!

Hey folks.

As October rolls around and the days get shorter and colder, it may feel like things are starting to slow down, but that is certainly not the case at Activate Youth. We’ll be keeping the energy levels high and bringing the heat this month! October is all about building resilience, both physically and mentally, as we prepare for the colder months. Our young athletes will continue to strengthen their bodies while staying focused, and we have a great mix of training and engaging activities planned to keep them motivated.

Programming Highlights

This month, our training will focus on developing strength, agility, and essential skills.

Strength Training: We’ll be emphasising key lifts such as deadlifts and front squats, utilising tempo training to enhance technique and control. This approach not only builds physical strength but also teaches important movement patterns.

Skill Development: Athletes will work on foundational skills like pull-ups, handstand walks, and single-leg squats, promoting body awareness and coordination. These skills are crucial for overall athletic performance and help boost confidence.

Engaging Movement Challenges: Each session will incorporate fun challenges, like obstacle courses and relay races, to keep the training dynamic and enjoyable. These activities are designed to reinforce teamwork and camaraderie among the kids, ensuring a supportive environment.

Things to Look Forward To

We have an exciting event on the horizon. In about a month, we’ll be hosting a Bring a Buddy day, where our young athletes can invite a friend to experience the fun and energy of our training sessions. It’s a great opportunity for kids to share their passion for fitness and encourage their friends to join in.
