What is our Prep Course?
Regardless of a person’s past athletic experience or current level of fitness, everyone who first comes to Activate is provided with the opportunity to learn about basic techniques, terminology, warm-ups and exercises before participating in regular classes. Taught by one of our highly qualified coaches, these classes are for first-timers and consist of four, 60-minute private sessions.
You’ll also have the option of a nutrition consult and packet to help you stay on track! Additionally, we can take a body composition analysis to measure body fat and lean muscle mass.
The Prep Course is where you’ll get that one-on-one attention to ensure you start off on the correct path. As you work through the 4 sessions, you will learn about the correct form for exercises, and slowly work up to increase your level of intensity. The Prep Course is the perfect place to ask questions and gain confidence in the movements before transitioning into our regular classes.
Attendance and participation is mandatory, so if you are unable to make a session, contact your coach who will work with you to reschedule.
This is without a doubt the best way to get an athlete “prepared” for CrossFit and group classes. Here at Activate we have a huge emphasis on safety for our athletes and prospective members. We require seasoned athletes and soccer moms alike to go through the program.
CrossFit is all about scalability, and this holds true even in our Prep Course.
